About Us
Rayland Smith MA, LPC, BC-TMH
Executive Director, Licensed Professional Counselor
Board Certified Telemental Health counselor
I am a licensed professional counselor in Colorado serving the Arkansas Valley for over 10 years. I have worked with a wide range of individuals across the lifespan, in a variety of settings (e.g. private practice, hospital, community mental health, medical clinic--integrated care), with a diversity of concerns to include, depression/anxiety, psychosis, conflict resolution and family/relationship concerns, adult ADHD, parenting, trauma and many other types of issues.
My approach to therapy is empathic, holistic, warm and interactive and strengths based. I believe in every client’s ability to choose their path and will, with compassion and hope, help you begin the often-difficult process of recovery and healing. Although I draw upon many evidenced based theories, I most often utilize rational emotive-behavioral (REBT) and cognitive-behavioral (CBT), insight oriented, existential and solutions focused theories in a brief modality, depending on the nature of the concerns. I believe a lot of positive work can be done in brief therapy.
I also believe wellness encompasses many facets, such as physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual. I respectfully and comfortably explore these facets as appropriate. I will tailor the therapeutic process to meet your needs.
If you are ready to begin this process I am here to empower and support you. I look forward to walking the path of change and recovery together.
